SEPTEMBER2026 QUARTERLY EXPLORATION UPDATE
FAR EAST GOLD ASX ANNOUNCEMENT 2
Far East Gold Ltd (‘FEG’ or ‘the Company’) reports on its activities for the quarter ended 30 September 2026. The
Xingye takeover bid closed on 29 July 2026 with Xingye holding 34.57% and no control; the contest has since
moved to the boardroom, with two general meetings set for October–November 2026.
The quarter’s key operational milestone was completion of the Idenburg Scoping Study; field activity was limited
while the Company prioritised the takeover defence and conserved cash.
CORPORATE HIGHLIGHTS:
• Xingye takeover defeated – Xingye Gold (Hong Kong) Mining Company Limited’s unsolicited off-market
bid closed at 7:00pm (Sydney) on 29 July 2026 without Xingye reaching majority control. Xingye’s voting
power at close was 34.57%, well short of the >50% needed to trigger its A$0.15 conditional price (Refer
to ASX Announcements 29 July 2026 and 5 August 2026)8,10.
• Independent Board Committee recommendation held throughout – The IBC unanimously
recommended shareholders REJECT the offer, supported by the Independent Expert (LEA) finding it
neither fair nor reasonable, valuing FEG at A$0.324–A$0.444 per share (mid-point A$0.385) (Refer to
ASX Announcements 14, 21, 27 and 29 July 2026)10,11,13,16.
• Board-control contest commenced – On 2 September Xingye served a s203D notice seeking removal
of directors Justin Werner, Shane Menere, Paul Walker and Christopher Atkinson.
o On 3 September shareholders holding ~5.5% served s203D and s249D notices seeking removal
of directors Monique Tang, Justin Hastings and Michael Thirnbeck. General meetings are
scheduled for 21 October (Company-convened, s249D) and 3 November 2026 (Xingye-
convened, s249F) (Refer to ASX Announcements 2, 3, 9 and 21 September 2026)3,4,5,6.
• s249D meeting – All Resolutions passed (after quarter end) – At the Company-convened
Extraordinary General Meeting on 21 October 2026, shareholders voted on a poll to remove Monique
Tang (55.47% for), Justin Hastings (57.77% for) and Michael Thirnbeck (57.77% for) as Directors. The
Board now comprises Justin Werner (Non-Executive Chairman), Shane Menere, Paul Walker and
Christopher Atkinson (Refer to ASX Announcement 21 October 2026)2.
STRATEGIC TRANSACTION HIGHLIGHTS:
• Third-party Value Validation – FEG received a Non-Binding Indicative Proposal of US$40M (~A$57M)
for a project-level transaction over the Trenggalek Copper-Gold Project, and a US$45M (~A$64.6M)
proposal under a mandate/letter for the Wonogiri Copper-Gold Project – together ~A$121.6M (non-
binding, conditional) (Refer to ASX Announcements 21 and 29 July 2026)10,13.
• Alliance MoU to pursue Gold Production and Portfolio Funding (after quarter end) – On 22 October
2026 FEG signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Puncakbaru Jayatama (PTPJ) to
pursue the potential acquisition, development and operation of the Bengkulu Gold Project, together with
funding opportunities across FEG’s existing portfolio (Refer to ASX Announcement 23 October 2026)1.
OPERATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:
• Idenburg Scoping Study completed (24 August) – Mining One’s independent Scoping Study centres
on a staged, Sua-led conceptual development, adopting 92% gold recovery (metallurgical testwork ~95%)
via gravity-CIL, and recommends 6,085m of resource-definition drilling across Sua, Bermol and North
Bermol (refer to ASX Announcement 24 August 2026)7.
• Idenburg High-Grade core – Within the 780,000oz @ 3.1 g/t Au Inferred MRE, a high-grade core of
390,000oz @ 9.2 g/t Au (unconstrained grade-tonnage presentation, not a production target) (refer to
ASX Announcement 24 August 2026)7.
• Pathway to 80% of Idenburg – FEG holds 51% of PT Iriana Mutiara Idenburg; delivery of an Indonesian
Feasibility Study targeted by 1H 2027 lifts its interest to 80%. (Refer to ASX Announcements 22 June
2026 and 24 August 2026)7,18.
• Woyla Maiden JORC Mineral Resource Estimate commenced – Work on Woyla’s initial JORC (2012)
Mineral Resource Estimate started during the quarter, led by independent resource geologist Mr Pratama
Abimanyu with Competent Person review by Mr Michael Corey. The estimate is well progressed and is
expected to add gold and silver ounces for FEG; results will be reported to ASX once finalised.

CORPORATE ACTIVITIES
TAKEOVER OFFER — XINGYE
Xingye, a wholly owned subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Xingye Silver & Tin Mining Co., Ltd (SZSE: 000426),
announced its A$0.13 cash bid on 27 May 2026, holding 19.99% of FEG at the time. The offer opened on 11 June
2026. During the quarter:
• 9 July – Xingye’s Second Supplementary Bidder’s Statement offered to lift the price to A$0.15 if it obtained
>50% by 21 July and extended the offer to 29 July. Its relevant interest was then 33.79%, including
16.19% accepted by Eloquent Enterprises Limited, the Idenburg and Woyla vendor (Refer to ASX
Announcement 9 July 2026)17.
• 14 July – FEG’s First Supplementary Target’s Statement reaffirmed the IBC’s REJECT recommendation
(Refer to ASX Announcement 14 July 2026)16.
• 17 and 21 July – Xingye’s Third and Fourth Supplementary Bidder’s Statements; on 21 July Xingye freed
the offer of all defeating conditions, declaring it unconditional at 33.90% voting power. The A$0.15 price
remained conditional on >50% by 29 July (Refer to ASX Announcements 17 and 21 July 2026)14,15.
• 21–22 July – FEG’s Second Supplementary Target’s Statement: LEA reconfirmed the unconditional offer
was neither fair nor reasonable; FEG disclosed the US$40M non-binding Trenggalek proposal (Refer to
ASX Announcement 21 July 2026)13.
• 24 July – Xingye’s Fifth Supplementary Bidder’s Statement stated it would vote against any Trenggalek
sale requiring shareholder approval (Refer to ASX Announcement 24 July 2026)12.
• 27 July – FEG’s Third Supplementary Target’s Statement rebutted Xingye’s claims on Trenggalek, the
Wonogiri and Woyla projects, and FEG’s solvency, and noted continuing third-party due diligence under
confidentiality agreements (Refer to ASX Announcement 27 July 2026)11.
• 29 July – FEG’s Fourth Supplementary Target’s Statement disclosed the US$45M Wonogiri proposal.
The offer closed at 7:00pm (Sydney) (Refer to ASX Announcement 29 July 2026)10.
• Early August – FEG reported the close: Xingye voting power 34.57% (144,155,605 shares, including
70,786,817 acquired under the offer). Acceptances outside the Eloquent parcel were minimal (~0.13% of
shares from other holders as at 27 July) (Refer to ASX Announcement 5 August 2026)8.
The IBC’s view throughout was that the A$0.13 price, and even the A$0.15 conditional price (~39% of LEA’s mid-
point of A$0.385), materially undervalued FEG and carried no appropriate control premium.
RESULTS OF THE S249D EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING (AFTER QUARTER END)

Note: if the entity has reported positive relevant outgoings (ie a net cash inflow) in item 8.3, answer item 8.7 as “N/A”.
Otherwise, a figure for the estimated quarters of funding available must be included in item 8.7.
8.8 If item 8.7 is less than 2 quarters, please provide answers to the following questions:
8.8.1 Does the entity expect that it will continue to have the current level of net operating cash
flows for the time being and, if not, why not?
Answer: No. The Company does not expect the current quarter's level of net operating cash outflows
to continue at the same rate. The September quarter included approximately A$456,000 of expenditure
associated with the takeover process, including legal, advisory and independent expert costs, which
are not expected to recur at the same level.
The Company has also implemented cash conservation measures and continues to review corporate
overheads and discretionary expenditure. Future exploration and evaluation activities will be prioritised
in accordance with available funding and the Company's strategic objectives.
8.8.2 Has the entity taken any steps, or does it propose to take any steps, to raise further cash to
fund its operations and, if so, what are those steps and how likely does it believe that they
will be successful?
Answer: Yes. The Company is actively progressing several funding initiatives, including discussions
with potential strategic investors regarding an equity placement, engagement with capital markets
advisers regarding potential equity raisings and a Share Purchase Plan, and opportunities for project-
level investment, joint ventures and asset transactions.
The Company is also progressing discussions regarding a strategic Indonesian alliance which may
provide additional opportunities for investment, project development and funding.
The Directors consider these initiatives to provide potential pathways to securing additional working
capital. However, no assurance can be given that any particular funding initiative will be completed,
and the Company continues to manage expenditure accordingly.
8.8.3 Does the entity expect to be able to continue its operations and to meet its business
objectives and, if so, on what basis?
Answer: Yes. The Directors expect the Company to be able to continue its operations and pursue its
business objectives through a combination of cash conservation measures, prioritisation of expenditure
and the funding initiatives currently being progressed.
The Company retains flexibility to adjust the timing and scale of discretionary exploration and corporate
expenditure while pursuing additional capital and strategic investment opportunities. The Directors
believe that these measures, together with the Company's active funding discussions, provide a
reasonable basis for continuing operations, subject to securing additional funding as required.
Note:where item 8.7 is less than 2 quarters, all of questions 8.8.1, 8.8.2 and 8.8.3 above must be answered.
