Far East Gold’s Shane Menere talked with Proactive about strong early-stage drill results from the Bermol prospect, part of the Idenburg Project in Papua, Indonesia. Assays from Phase 1 drilling confirmed gold mineralisation across multiple holes and revealed new zones beyond the current JORC resource.

The company has completed 10 holes over a 650-metre strike length. Key results include 4.7 metres at 2.26 g/t gold from BRD011 and 2.0 metres at 3.17 g/t from BRD010, with higher-grade sections up to 11.02 g/t. These findings validate historical work and support the potential for significant resource growth.

Far East Gold is now drilling at North Bermol and preparing for initial programs at Sua and Kwaplu. A 320-line kilometre drone survey is also underway, covering 1,200 hectares to identify further structural features.

The company said these results support its strategy to build Idenburg into a district-scale gold system, with Bermol currently accounting for 228,000 ounces of its 540,000-ounce inferred resource.
